I guess you should have heard about VEL TECH group of educational institutions at least in recent few months. If not then its better to know about these institutions at least now, so you can save your child from this hell.  This group of institution is situated near Avadi and they own wide range of educational institutions which includes

 And this post will list out all the achievements of these two people and people who work along with them.

1.  19 year old, Jayakar committed suicide because he was handed TC by one of the colleges of this institution. They handed him TC because he didn't perform well in his academics.

 2. 18 year old, S Divya  committed suicide  by hanging from a ceiling fan at  hostel of this same institution because of harassment by college officials . All she did was using cellphone at college premises.

3. Overcharging the students by introducing unnecessary useless third grade materials which they call study materials and other study tools (like engineering drawing kits) etc.Because of these charges the students from middle class families are over stressed.If the parents or students confront these they will be dismissed or suspended from the college.

4. The staffs of this college (includes peon, transport officials etc) have full rights to assault the students.

5. Not only the students,but the professors and lecturers who work for the college are also tortured. The original academics documents of these staffs are held by the management people during the joining.When the staffs try to get out this hell job, their original documents are not returned to them, and they are made to suffer in the name of useless formalities.

6. They have some worst rules with in the college campus and even in the college buses, like male students should not talk or interact with the female students and it is highly punishable according to their rules;some students got suspensions because of it.

7.  The quality of education they give is very very poor for the money they steal from the parents.The students who reached tops  mostly because of their self interest and self preparations;nothing because of the knowledge that college imparted.

There are endless achievements like these and above list has just scratched the surface of it.Below are some of  these achievement that came to light through media.

Avadi Sub Registrar atrocities

It was a beautiful morning, had plenty of  tasks to be completed. One of them was to obtain my marriage certificate from government authorities. I reside at Avadi and I recently got married. To obtain the marriage certificate I had to visit near by Avadi Sub Registrar office. With great hope I started my day.

As planned I reached the Avadi Sub Registrar office on that morning. Entered the office, As usual like other government offices no body cared and all the working officials were busy with their  so called work . I looked around a minute and identified the person in-charge, went near him and asked about the process to obtain the marriage certificate. Instead of explaining the process, he started asking some weird and unrelated questions like " Was it love marriage or arranged marriage? Does the marriage happened in the presence of parents?  etc..etc.." . From his questions I clearly understood that he had no intentions to help me or explain me about the process. So I interrupted him by asking "Is there any form to be filled, if there is a form please do provide so I can fill them and submit" . With odd looks he asked to download the form from website. I asked him the URL address of the website from where the form can be downloaded, as I expected he doesn't know the URL nor he had any clue of it.

It was not over, he finally asked me to visit the near by shops so called agencies which are located opposite to the Sub Registrar office. I had no clue why he is asking me to visit those agencies. When I asked him about why I had to go there, he replied saying "Form can be obtained from those agencies" . So as suggested by the officer I went over to one of those agency and asked for the form that should be filled to obtain marriage certificate.

The person in that agency asked me  "whether you need the certificate immediately or after few months ?". I was puzzled on hearing his question.So replied him "what does your question has to do with the application forms to be filled" . I was shocked on hearing his reply. He replied "To get certificate with in weeks it costs Rs.3000, if you need after few months then it costs only Rs.2000" .  When I asked him about why I need to pay such huge sum for obtaining the marriage certificate which is supposed to be issued for just Rs.200  (max) ( refer: Marriage registration ) , he replied rudely saying "this how it works here if you want you can get it else move on" .

I understood that these agencies has links with the corrupted sub registrar officials. That was the reason the official at the Sub Registrar office denied to issue the registration form and asked me to get it form these agencies. I didn't have enough money to pay those agencies and I didn't like to pay bribe to these corrupted government officials.With heavy heart I returned home.

These government officials are getting paid for the work they do. These people are getting paid through our tax money and they deny to serve the people. This is how most of the government offices are functioning in this country. The higher officials don't care about these lower level officials because they are busy with even more bigger bribes.
